An engineer answering questions at a whiteboard
How much does a web or mobile app cost?
You get a fixed written quote after a discovery call, usually within one week. Three things drive the number: how many screens and user roles the product has, how many outside systems it must talk to, and how many platforms it ships on. Tell us those three and we can give you a range on the first call.
How long does a project take?
A focused web application or first release typically takes 8 to 14 weeks from kickoff to launch. A mobile app for both stores typically takes 12 to 20 weeks including store review. The written scope states the timeline for your project specifically.
Who owns the code?
You do, from the first commit. The repository, cloud accounts, domains and app-store listings are all in your name. If you stop working with us tomorrow, you keep everything and nothing breaks.
Can you take over an existing codebase?
Yes. We start with a short paid code review that reports on security, test coverage, dependencies and hosting, then propose either a fix-and-maintain plan or a staged rebuild. We only recommend rewriting when the review supports it.
Which technologies do you recommend?
Whatever your team can hire for and maintain. Our defaults are React or Next.js with Node.js or PHP for web, Flutter for mobile, and PostgreSQL or MySQL for data, but we build on the stack listed on our Technologies page and will say plainly if a request is a poor fit.
How do we work together during the build?
You get a named lead engineer, a shared Slack or Teams channel, a written update every week and a demo of working software every two weeks. Scope changes are priced in writing before they are built.
What happens after launch?
Thirty days of support are included with every build. After that, most clients move to a monthly retainer for upgrades, security patches, monitoring and small features, with response times agreed in writing.
Where are you based?
Intuites is a US-based team that works remotely with clients in every time zone. Meetings are scheduled in Eastern time by default.
